PTSD Survivors of America

PTSD Survivors of America was founded by Eddie Bryant after he returned from Afghanistan in 2010.  After being involved in a suicide bomb attack, as well as years worth of combat missions in Iraq which resulted in a Purple Heart award an Army Commendation medal for Valor, Eddie was diagnosed with Traumatic Brain Injury and PTSD.  He spent many weeks searching for PTSD specialists and charities to help.  In doing so he quickly realized that not only are there limited civilian doctors who specialize in PTSD, but all the charities out there were focused on military-only assistance.   Determined to be the voice for everyone with PTSD rather than just a specific group of people, he worked to form PTSD Survivors of America, Inc. and with the help of a number of great people we became a 501(c)3 tax-exempt charity.   – PTSD Survivors of America
