Civil Rights Awareness Virtual Race

Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.” – Robert F Kennedy
Civil Rights Awareness

The Statue of Liberty has always been a symbol of democracy, freedom from oppression, and hope for a better world.  This encompasses the values of our civil rights and it is why her proud image was chosen for our medal.

The medal is 5″ in size with vibrant colors. The 3D mold on the medal enhances the hands.  The top of the torch contains translucent orange sections to let the light shine through. While the blue background over raised stars is also translucent.

This virtual race benefits the ACLU. The ACLU Foundation works in the courts, legislatures and communities to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to all people in this country by the Constitution and laws of the United States.  They also provide a plethora of information to help educate us on our civil rights.

“If the rights of society’s most vulnerable members are denied, everybody’s rights are imperiled.” – ACLU
